Sketched Sounds is my long-standing project that highlights local and burgeoning artists of all disciplines. Musicians, photographers, bookers and projectionists all have stories, and now we're talking long-form. Listen in.
54 – Human Offline and K talk raves and preconceptions
53 – Anthony Covarrubias talks music, passion projects and Narrow Arrow
52 – co-ed talk San Pedro, punk and the future
This one’s been a long time coming! I’ve been wanting to record an episode with San Pedro’s co-ed since coming across their EP last year and we’ve finally done it. They have since released two more singles on Spotify, livestreamed with The Satellite for a segment called Bad Decisions and are releasing their EP on tape THIS FRIDAY, April 2nd a la Sludge People. Be sure to snag a pre-order and listen in on Bandcamp and Spotify.
51 – Andrew Long was our ghost all along
Andrew stopped by the new place to catch up and talk about Human Offline's latest single, "I Was Your Ghost", AI art and mushroom music.
Today’s episode is with Cassie and Nick Gaffaney of Young Winona, whose latest single ‘LA Waste’ has been a hit on their recent livestreams. This single also commemorates their inclusion onto the Poor Man Records roster, so congrats to them on that!
I interviewed Cassie a few years ago after catching a show at Harvard & Stone, one of those solid small cap venues we all hope to see at the end of this yearlong tunnel. We talked New Zealand and dystopic visions as they teased another livestream and single in the coming weeks.
49 – Devil Love talk "Broken Things" ahead of new record
Peter Buzelle and Chuck Ferreira of Devil Love fill me in on the Boston music scene, collaborative history and of course, their forthcoming record out 2/12
