She denotes how Islam is still very much shrouded in mystery and misconceptions in her home town with the migrant community still remaining relatively small.
She reminisces on the great upbringing she had and describes her gratitude and how it shaped her set of personal and morals to date.
This in turn helped her to flourish as a better Muslim and to be an asset to the community.
Whilst away volunteering in Costa Rica she returned home to a great surprise. Her mother had become Muslim!
With her curiosity and spiritually peaked - she began taking baby steps towards realising a whole new life for herself.
