Gut health?

Just listened to the gastroenterologist interview. As a former graduate research assistant in a university human performance lab I have always been the type to question common practices in search for the “facts”. I say facts instead of truth because human research is not an exact science ( as much as we might want to think it is ). What is fact is always changing. Truth on the other hand is eternal and absolute. The goal of facts should be to lead us to the truth. With that said the contention that there is no research to support IF , KETO is incorrect. It’s there in varying quality , some research really good Some not so good. And for the record I do not do either of these two eating plans. I’m not a vegan either.

I respect the doctors experience and knowledge base. Just seemed to me that this interview was just to push the vegan lifestyle. Which is fine. If that where you believe the facts are leading you then all more power to you and the good doctor. There was A somewhat condescending tone toward those that don’t share this beliefd in my opinion. I hope she doesn’t talk down to her pts the way she spoke of people who may have faulty belief systems when it comes to diet and eating.

All that said I enjoyed the interview because I enjoy getting information from various perspectives .

Waste of time. I want a refund!

Closed minded host who cherry picks studies to suit his confirmation bias. He just regurgitates the same scientifically reductionist dribble about how bad meat and fats are. FYI....the traditional okinawan diet contained high amounts of pork. Only during World War II did their diet change to contain the enormous amounts of starches mostly via sweet potatoes. Do some research instead of simply shouting of vegan talking points.
