Doug Bogatz - Band Director & Head of Auditions for NMEA
Doug Bogatz is Director of Instrumental Music at Westview High School in Omaha Nebraska. Along with experience directing almost every type of school band and orchestra, Doug was also the Drum Major for the University of Nebraska Marching Band and the Colts Drum and Bugle Core (Dubuque, Iowa). Currently, he is also the Director of Auditions for the Nebraska Music Educators Association (NMEA).

Gloria Lum - Los Angeles Philharmonic & Audition Confidential
Gloria Lum has been the cellist for the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 1985. In 2020, she founded Audition Confidential, which prepares cellists for orchestral auditions through courses and one-on-one coaching. Gloria graduated from the University of Southern California, where she studied with Gabor Rejto and Ronald Leonard. Before LA, she was a member of the Oakland and Denver Symphony.

Ben has taught in public schools for fourteen years and is the current Director of Vocal Music for the Bryan City School District in rural Northwest Ohio. Ben just completed his term as the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) District 1 President, is an active Ohio Music Education Association adjudicator, and served as the 2022 OMEA All-State Choir Chair. Eric and Ben talk all about the ins and outs of vocal auditions at all levels.
