Episode 12: Fundraising, Family Support, and Fighting the Good Fight for Kids with Special Needs: An Interview with Sarah Farkas of Friends of St. Mary's

Quite simply, its really hard to not get behind this week's featured organization, St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children. It's all too easy to take a healthy childhood for granted - until a child with special needs enters your life. For children with special needs, who require care which is often complicated as well as costly, an organization such as St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children is a game changer. One of only a handful of organizations around the country dedicated to providing intensive rehabilitation, specialized care, and education to children with special needs and life-limiting conditions, this organization aims to bring health care to every child who needs it, now and in the future.

Every episode is my favorite

Each podcast is motivating me to give. Even if it is a small amount. This is a fun and informative podcast. Thank you to "The Broke Girl's Guide to Giving" for providing the chance to look and think about different organizations!

Weekly Shot of Uplift

As a non-bleeding heart who is typically put off by the do-gooders of the world, I am constantly inspired listening to this podcast. This podcast is great for the common person who wouldn't necessarily think of themselves as a change-maker, but it shows a pathway for how people are doing incredible things. The guests are excellent, and mostly everyday people who saw an injustice in the world, and without a profound expertise or huge amount of money, were able to make an extraordinary difference. The host is fantastic with a voice that's enjoyable to listen to listen to and has an infectious charm. One of my favorite podcasts that I look forward to every week
