    Something Old: MORE Beautiful Lies

    Something Old: MORE Beautiful Lies

Pt.2 of Beautiful Lies by Jessica Warman. If you thought part one gave us a lot to talk about, part two BLEW IT OUT OF THE WATER AND THEN BLEW IT OUT OF THE AIR INTO SPACE. There’s not a lot more I can say because as mush as we don’t care about spoilers on our show, we aren’t about to put them in episode descriptions! Read this book! You will not regret it! (And listen to us talk about it too) ***We list trigger warnings before diving into the discussion. If any concern you, we also suggest looking into them yourself online. Something Debut: MORE Belle Révolte

    Something Debut: MORE Belle Révolte

Part one of Belle Révolte by Linsey Miller! Ch. 15 - end! We butcher more French pronunciations and, well, THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING (and creepier than expected) it’s hard to think of a description, but if you’re looking for a great world building, queer representation, awesome characters who support each other, and excellent examination of economic privilege, this is the book for you!!! ***We list trigger warnings before diving into the discussion. Something Old: MORE Dreamstrider

    Something Old: MORE Dreamstrider

We discuss pg.201-end of DREAMSTRIDER by Lindsay Smith. In this fantasy novel, Livia learns the skill of dreamstriding — taking over someone’s body as they sleep — which she uses to work as a spy in service of her country. In this half, we talk about everything we guessed wrong last week, Livia’s journey with self-love, our ships, pastries, facial piercings, and a lot more that sounds random but we swear makes sense if you listen! ***We list trigger warnings before diving into the discussion. Something Old: Dreamstrider

We discuss pg.1-200 of DREAMSTRIDER by Lindsay Smith. In this fantasy novel, Livia learns the skill of dreamstriding — taking over someone’s body as they sleep — which she uses to work as a spy in service of her country. She soon uncovers a battle plans of an enemy nation intending to attack her home, but if that isn’t enough, the giant monster, Nightmare, is threatening to rise again and wreak havoc on her people. And let’s not forget her unrequited love, and constant worry that her citizenship will be revoked! This standalone novel really packs it in with thoughtful commentary on religion, social and economic class, politics, and mental health. . ***We list trigger warnings before diving into the discussion.
