Been watching Tanner’s videos since I was like 14.. I’m 22 now😄😃Such a cool dude.
Not normally a DnD fan but...
I have played DnD once in my life and it was fun enough, but not really my thing. I'm more of a "read fantasy books" person. However, my new job has an 1.5 hr commute and my brother suggested this podcast. Despite my hesitency, I started listening and I haven't stopped listening since! The storyline is interesting and described well so it feels like listening to a book on tape, except the characters themselves have commentary on it. This is especially true when you add the occasional sound effects. I love that each person doesn't know the other person's background so there is a constant mystery and slow unveiling of history. It keeps the story feeling real as the characters only know their POV and not the whole picture. It is relatively clean, well thought-out, and the more tedious parts of the game like figuring out money is edited out so its DnD without the slower portions. James has done a fantastic job planning the storylines and the other voice actors have done an awesome job bringing their characters to life. I do wish the character Grey Fox would return (he isn't back yet where i'm at) but I understand real life has to happen. Would recommend it forsure, and on a side note, James has a great voice for recording.
Seriously, guys, why are you not listening
This podcast is absolutely amazing. I love it, even if it’s a bit rough on the recording (just for episode one) stay tuned because it gets better. So much to take in. The players are fun, the DM is solid. Sticking with these guys for the long run
