Ever wonder what Jack and Karen from “Will and Grace” would look like if they were a brown gay boy and a black straight girl who are besties and have a podcast? So did we! Listen to our musings on pop culture, life, love and whatever comes up on the other side of the Rainbow.
Somewhere Over The Rainbow Podcast - Episode 83- The Mary Reilly Effect
Vincent's magical journey into becoming a BTS stan continues and Dana gets chosen to participate in the Boston Comedy Festival. Plus RIP moments for Alex Trebek, an official Wonder Woman 1984 release date (and surprise platform), a review of the new season of "The Crown" and a "We See You Gurl" moment for the first female to ever lead a Major League Baseball team.
Somewhere Over The Rainbow Podcast - Episode 82- All Hands on Deck
While Vincent and Dana wait with bated breath for a winner of the 2020 Presidential Election, they get into all the goodness of the past couple of weeks in pandemic pop culture. From Steve Kornacki's khaki pants (and lack of showering bleh), to RIP moments for Sean Connery and a Sex and the City revival we never knew we always needed, all is covered!
Somewhere Over The Rainbow Podcast - Episode 81- Why You Gotta Be So Rude
On this celebratory episode, Dana and Vincent celebrate Vincent's transition to the big 4-0!! Vincent is gifted a new electronic skin care mask, Dana finds joy in watching people cook BBQ on Netflix and they both lament over the nuanced language of frustrated work from home emails.
There's also deep dive into the latest in pandemic pop culture realness including the end of Quibi, an unfortunate Zoom moment for CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, thoughts on the new season of Real Housewives of Orange County and this week's "Yeah or Meh" moment with trailers for Ryan Murphy's "Prom" and "Hillbilly Elegy".
Somewhere Over The Rainbow Podcast - Episode 80- Christmas is Cancelled
Things get political on this episode as the 2020 U.S. election cycle reaches a fever pitch (VOTE EVERYONE!). A socially distant mini vacay to Palm Springs, the story of a real life private dancer and more Korean dramas help to provide some respite from the craziness (at least for Dana and Vincent).
There's also RIP moments for Eddie Van Halen, a cranberry juice drinking skateboarder, a second chance viewing of "Ratched" and "Yeah or Meh" featuring a West Wing special and a reboot of "The Witches".
Somewhere Over The Rainbow Podcast - Episode 79- Schitt Happens
In a dumpster fire of a week, Dana and Vincent continue find glimmers of light in unexpected places. Vincent discovers new found fandom in BTS via a kindred spirit and Dana discovers a new found fandom in erotic thrillers via Janelle James' new podcast. There's also a Schitt-filled Emmy's recap, inevitable divorce for Cardi B and legal troubles between Vincent's friend Ed Sheeran and the family of Marvin Gaye (who clearly have the best ears in the world).
Somewhere Over The Rainbow Podcast - Episode 78- Tik Tok Is Not For Us
The world is on fire (at least in California), but a little ash falling from the sky won't stop pop culture from poppin! This episode finds Vincent and Dana getting their life from Lee Min Ho's Dominos Pizza commercial and Mariah Carey+Sade's vinyl box sets respectively. They also discuss RIP moments for Chadwick Boseman and Diana Rigg, Tyler Perry's new billionaire status, a Fresh Prince of Bel Air reunion with all Aunt Vivs in attendance and reviews of Cobra Kai and Cuties.

My New Friends (In My Head)
I fell in love with this podcast after my very first listen. Their chemistry is perfect and the conversations are hilariously fun. So glad that I found this podcast.
A Hidden Rainbow Gem
I'm for certain I found this show via PodcastsInColor.com (shoutout to Berry 😘). I was burnt out with my podcast list as it was, and I remember marathoning the whole series in about 2 days, so I instantly subscribed.
I like that the show's bi-weekly (or tries to be), the co-hosts are friends who seem to be settled in their day jobs. Also, I like that the setup sounds (I'm assuming) that they are recording into a MacBook, I know Dana's mentioned about editing the show with one. The subjects is general pop culture re-caps offered in bites instead of tangents.
The show's not perfect by any means, and I'm seeing that Dana and Vincent are working to be more social with promoting online. So, I hope to see more growth, and will keep listening.
5 air kisses for the dish between these pop culture-loving besties!
The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter meets 2 Dope Queens in this fun podcast. Vincent’s an endearing Sonny Bono soundalike who loves the ’80s and pop culture. His wheelhouse has pedestals for Madonna, Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton and Ricky Martin. Dana is his Wonder Woman-loving bestie who has Hollywood gossip at the ready, like, which recently departed media tycoon paid $75K to be buried next to Marilyn Monroe. And don’t even get her fabulously opinionated self started on which celeb needs to do what: “Megyn Kelly needs to go to the Sally Jessy Raphael School of Audience Interaction!” Ha! If pop culture is your Thing, come love on this to get your show biz fix.
