Thank you Sophie

Years ago I use to folllow wayofgray. I even think I bought some type of workout plan from your old Instagram. I was obsessed with getting smaller and working out to the point that it consumed me. After having a baby last year I fell off the gym obsession because I simply didn’t have the time or energy while at the same time feeling so ashamed of my new mom body. I have had these obsessive thoughts on getting thin again non stop basically right after giving birth. Side note- I haven’t used Instagram since the start of 2017. I recently downloaded IG again and came across a post from Sophie Gray at the top of my newsfeeds. I was like ...wait...this page looks completely different! where are the workout selfies and the food pictures? I began reading your recent posts and instantly went to start listening to your podcasts. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. It’s like I was meant to find you again. But for a different reason this time around. I have been listening non stop since yesterday. All of your messages hit home for me. From the thinness does not equal happiness, knowing your worth, celebrating your good days. I could go on and on. I also have been thinking about trying to stop drinking because I feel like it does not bring positive things or thoughts to my life. And the first episode I played was about your 3 years alcohol and drug free. I couldn’t relate more. I don’t know you personally but I love you Sophie! I’m proud of you Sophie! I love your no makeup REAL selfies. Thank you for helping me start remembering the importance of what truly matters in life and that happiness comes from within.

Sincerely,
Julia

In love

Sophie,
I’ve seen you on social media for some time now, and I’ve finally followed your podcasts. As a women who hates failing, hates admitting that I am not okay, and overall struggles being in tune with my emotions..
This speaks to me in ways I hope you recognize. I am so tough on the outside and am constantly filling my plate so full.. but actually letting myself feel is something I’ve struggled with. So fulfilling to hear the words that I sometimes cannot seem to articulate. Very honest, and very calming, and allows me to be in tune with my anxiety and moods. Love hearing your voice. Keep being your amazing, vulnerable self. Cheers to being nothing but our raw selves.
