    59: Belief dissonance.

    59: Belief dissonance.

One of the most uncomfortable parts of growth is that funky phase when things are noticeably changing but not fully transformed yet. It’s confusing, because it seems like being in two different places at the same time.

This process of change creates an inner conflict for our brain, called cognitive dissonance. In this episode I am explaining what cognitive dissonance is, why it’s an important milestone for us, and how to stay focused and clear so you can keep making progress on your goals.

    58: Why I don’t let my clients say “I don’t know.”

    58: Why I don’t let my clients say “I don’t know.”

Today I’m talking about why “I don’t know” is often our default answer to our most important questions. Knowing this will help you get to work on choosing the answer that will move you forward.

Telling yourself “I don’t know” instantly stops you from making a decision or taking action. It seems logical that it would encourage you to seek answers, but the thought actually produces the opposite effect. I share an example in this episode so you can really see the difference!

    57: The boiling point.

Think for a moment about a goal that you are working on right now. Where do you think you are in the process of accomplishment?

It's fascinating to think that accomplishing the goal we set  is the very LAST STEP in the process. Everything up until that point is somewhere IN PROCESS, which mostly looks and feels…like watching a pot of water boil.

In this episode I am using the metaphor of “the boiling point” to take a look at patience, commitment and belief in our goals.

    54: Nothing has gone wrong.

What if nothing has gone wrong? Ever.

In this episode I’m introducing the idea that everything that is, our reality, is exactly as it should be. And what creates suffering is the “gap” between reality and expectation, and what we make that mean.
