Make time for this one!

Riley does a great job talking to young athletes from a perspective that understands what they are going through, and in a voice that they will understand. Every coach should recommend this to their kids, because even if they don’t personally need extra support, it can help them reach out to someone else who might.
Part of the conundrum of our mental health support systems is that appointments take time. To get your kid help, you’re pulling them out of school, away from homework, or away from practice. Podcasts like this are in no way a substitute for professional and personalized support, but they do help bridge the gap, allowing us to fit it into our already busy schedules.
Can’t thank Riley enough for putting this together!

Absolutely amazing

This podcast sheds light on a topic so important across not just sports but all of society! It’s great to hear a “tough” NHL player talk about his struggles with mental health

Needed this

Riley sharing his story makes me feel so much more comfortable with own journey. Being a veteran, hearing about our hockey heroes struggling with mental health really gives a lot of perspective and tells us it’s ok to not be ok. Looking forward to more!
