About Hiam Sakakini Knowing what makes people tick has always fascinated me, especially what differentiates high performing leaders and teams from others. I’ve lived and breathed this fascination as the Head of Manager Development (APAC) with Google where I’ve uncovered powerful, evidence-based ways to create high performing teams and leaders able to respond quickly to business changes through innovation. During my 10 year tenure at Google, I’ve led strategic change initiatives at a regional and global level; understanding how technology changes industries and how to navigate that change successfully through people. Taking that experience with me, I’ve founded a Culture Transformation consulting practice that aims to improve quality of life through work through trust and courageous conversations, creating conditions where people thrive. The Culture Equation specialises in culture and leadership transformation as well as how to harness the power of a diverse workforce. Our tailored programs and workshops are for teams between 10-500 people. Having worked with organisations as large as Western Sydney University, as fast growing as Brighte and as purpose led as GenWest, I believe culture cannot be manufactured, rather it has to be intentionally designed and consistently brought to life through beliefs, behaviours and feedback rituals.
Collaboration and embracing diversity are important to me and I’ve proudly contributed my skills and expertise as a Non-Executive Director with the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, Xceptional and as a mentor for TechStars and Remarkable, Australia’s first disability-focused impact accelerator.
