In the premier episode of our new Actual Play podcast, we follow the supernatural investigators of the Library of Metaphysical Knowledge in Defense of Mankind operating in 19th century Seattle. Together they seek to understand the mysterious Vaesen – supernatural creatures out of Scandinavian folklore. Join us as we begin this original campaign, starring Phoenix (Julian Benavides), Aryn (Sofie Ingesdottir) and Quin (Caelan Teagan), led by your gamemaster Bryon Kershaw.

Please note we had some technical issues with Aryn's microphone in this episode, and she should sound much clearer in all future episodes!
Our opening theme is “Myths and Legends” by Robert Bruckmayer which you can pick up at his bandcamp or stream on Spotify.  Our episode music is created by Andreas Lundström. You can hear more of his work on the Sweden Rolls podcast.

Thank you to Ellinor, Anne and Sydney from the Lost Mountain Saga for creating the show that introduced me to Vaesen and inspired me to get into podcasting!

A fun taste of gaming!

This podcast does a great job of editing out the boring parts of listening to other people gaming and keeps things moving, while still keeping the rough informal reality of a role playing game. It’s not TOO polished as to feel fake or contrived, but it’s super accessible and easy and fun to listen to!
