As an historian, former high school and college history teacher, and lifelong lover of ancient history, I understand why people feel this way. Too often, history is taught as a lifeless collection of names, wars, rulers, and dates to memorize. But real history is filled with sacred stories, powerful women, ancient goddesses, spiritual traditions, political struggles, acts of resistance, and people searching for meaning. History is not separate from the priestess path. It is one of its foundations. In this episode of Spiritual Sanctuary: Wisdom for the Divine Feminine, I explore why understanding history, mythology, and cultural context is essential for anyone studying goddess spirituality or answering the call to become a modern priestess.
