    12. Tuukka Can't Win

    12. Tuukka Can't Win

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson are back with another full episode. Now that all the sports are back in full swing, they can finally focus mainly on sports. The guys start off with their thoughts on the NHL and NBA broadcasts and how they've done so far, as opposed to the disaster that is Major League Baseball (2:54). The Bruins get back to work on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, so the guys preview the game with a look at how both teams have changed since the last time they clashed in the playoffs and their expectations for the B's (13:04). Derek Jeter called for sympathy for the Marlins players who went out and caused a COVID outbreak, and Matt is having none of it (34:53).

The guys switch gears to the Patriots, who had a lot of guys opt out of the season. How concerned are they about the depth at linebacker and safety without Dont'a Hightower and Patrick Chung? (40:05) After things go off the rails for a minute they get back to the Bruins and the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and their observations on other teams. They also get into Tuukka Rask, and why Tuukka was in a lose-lose situation the second he started coughing (50:26). As Matt & Ty tend to do as lifelong hockey fans, they reminisce on some of their favorite logos, classic players, and aspects of the game (1:02:00). Finally, they give their predictions for Bruins-Lightning (1:07:07).

Matt & Ty will be back Wednesday night after the Bruins face Tampa Bay with their instant postgame reactions. And be sure to listen to the Sports Hub Sidelines every week here at 985TheSportsHub.com or wherever you get your podcasts.

A large portion of this week's podcast focuses on the Bruins and the return of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. 10. Hey Patrick Can We Have Some Money?

    10. Hey Patrick Can We Have Some Money?

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson are back for another week on the Sidelines. First the guys recap the latest coronavirus figures in Mass. compared to the rest of the country - and Japan - before talking about the fascination with retro tech (7:24). Some solid movie talk with plenty more references to check off your list (11:22). Patrick Mahomes is at the top of their minds after signing the richest contract in sports history. While Mahomes is worth the money and the Chiefs didn't have much of a choice, it's long been proven that paying your quarterback at the top of the market rarely leads to multiple championships - or a "dynasty," as the Chiefs want (15:48). Cam Newton is already poring over the Patriots' playbook. Matt & Ty discuss the potential of the Patriots offense with Newton at quarterback, complete with win-loss predictions (36:41). The Patriots do have a tough schedule in 2020, but will it hurt them or will they make it look easy? (50:05) And the guys wrap up with the latest in the NHL, and why the league may be doing the best job with its return plan out of the four major sports (57:19).

    9. Defund The 'Fun Police'

    9. Defund The 'Fun Police'

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson are back for another episode, and finally they have some tangible sports news that isn't related to COVID-19. They begin by addressing the "fun police" that are Felger & Mazz, who complained about Cam Newton's excessive celebrating. Then they get into the Newton signing itself, the risks involved, and the potential rewards. (3:55) However they couldn't go without addressing the latest with coronavirus in sports. How will media coverage of the NFL season be affected? What happens if a major star decides to back out of playing? And now that Massachusetts had zero COVID-19 deaths this week, will the state actually come out of this looking better than most? (24:36) Netflix is releasing a lot of documentaries about evil people, but that's nothing new to Matt. The guys get into the revival of Unsolved Mysteries, movies and characters that genuinely scared them, and movies from the 21st century that would qualify as "classics" alongside The Godfather and other great films. Not The Room, though. (49:57)

    8. Just Bring On The Aliens, Already

    8. Just Bring On The Aliens, Already

Matt Dolloff and Ty Anderson start off with a quick look at the COVID-19 outbreaks in the NFL, before transitioning into the baseball season (6:34). The guys slip into a wild movie tangent, making dozens of references as they go back to the '90s (9:59). Ty has to take care of an issue in his apartment and they swap apartment horror stories (20:52). Stories about their favorite game shows as kids and when they learned to swim (25:45). As the guys maintain their mental health amid the most tumultuous year of their lifetimes, Matt tries to sell Ty on yoga and meditation. Ty isn't having it (33:38). Matt is dreading the newest technology creeping into the NBA, which reminded him of the show Black Mirror (37:24). They address the Bubba Wallace controversy and the social media discourse surrounding it, which Matt viewed as a failure all-around (43:42). Twitter mobs are feeling more like a dystopian nightmare every day (52:14). Both top presidential candidates are a mess, while cancel culture and the destruction of statues across the country are distracting from the real issues (58:12). The Hockey Hall of Fame begins announcing 2020 inductees, which launches Matt & Ty into reminiscing on their favorite players from past eras (1:24:34). Ty discusses his new story about Jack Eichel and why it's too early to expect the Bruins to get him (1:36:10). For his final thoughts, Matt envisions a world where people are off social media and having civilized conversations again, if only for our mental health (1:49:14).

Hardy-Forester ,

Thank you

Thank you for reminding the station of what put them on the map. 800hrs of speculation on Brady is absolutely dreadful radio. Go Bruins
