    Knot Right Coastal Kitchen

    Knot Right Coastal Kitchen

This week we welcome Kay Brackett who grew up in Panama City, worked part of her life in the gaming industry in Las Vegas and Biloxi Mississippi before making a transition to a long career as a restauranteur. After selling Sisters of The Sea Kay decided to create a place locals and those in the service industry would enjoy. Her new place will be called The Knot Right Coastal Kitchen and will be built where the Copa Cabana once stood. At this time there is no definite date as to when the restaurant will open but when it does it will be a lively late night spot where folks can enjoy a cocktail and delicious homestyle cooking.

Wewa Films Featuring Salty Local Kevin Elliott

Wewa Films Featuring Salty Local Kevin Elliott

This week Ashley meets Kevin Elliott, the co-founder of Wewa Films. As the Covid-19 pandemic raged, Wewa Films officially began its business journey. Listen to Kevin tell the story of how he reconnected with former student Courtney Gaskin after he discovered an online video she produced using footage from a Mumford and Sons concert she had attended. To Kevin's surprise, it was Courtney's first video, and neither had any intentions of working in the film industry at the time. Kevin was blown away by Courtney’s talent and he had always been a creative at heart. . He knew that with their combined creative mentalities and his business experience they could collaborate and build a business that would tell stories that would be valued. After a couple of years the two teamed up and Wewa Films was born. The company has worked with organizations such as Tyndall Federal Credit Union, the Children’s Advocacy Center, Gulf County Florida Tourism, HCA, Gulf Coast Hospital, Florida's Northwest and McDonald’s.

Wewa Films is the first paid ad sponsor for The St. Andrews Jezebel Podcast. I am excited for you to hear their story, and learn about their dreams and upcoming projects.

Stay tuned after the interview to learn how you can enjoy some time in St. Andrews.

Altawayne ,

Ashley Feller run in.

I saw Ashley playing the flute with the 4th Street Band at Little Village. I thought she was so amazing that I sent a video of her to an Orchestra flautist that I know in Pensacola. But that’s beside the point. She gave me her business card and nearly a week latter I listened to one of her Podcast. Amazing again! She’s got her finger on the pulse of St. Andrew Bay, love this girl!
