Vildar Mac sees the light, literally, as Tey Ferrick proves his mettle, as The HIgh Republic (Vol. 2) #10 concludes with a Jedi victor, but not without stinging losses.

In Dark Horse Comics' Hyperspace Stories #5, a familiar doll proves to be a sought-after token by Assaj Ventress who encounters a pair of new Jedi, along with another pair of rather familar faces (Obi-Wan and Anakin), in a fast-paced story that sheds more light on her dysfunctional relationship with Count Dooku.

Darth Vader may be down, but he's not out, much to the chagrin of Cyn, who has vastly underestimated the power of the dark side in Darth Vader: Black, White & Red #2 (of 4). Meanwhile, two more stories feature a ghastly alien encounter aboard a seemingly derelict ship, while a young villager sees Vader not as a villain but a hero.

And, weirdly enough, this episode marks our 350th since we began the podcast back in June 2015.

News:

The High Republic Adventures #5 (of 8) was pushed delayed two weeks to May 31 from May 10. Series writer Daniel José Older says that issues 6-8 will be released in June.

Per Near Mint Condition, the Star Wars Epic Collection: The Rebellion, Vol. 6 is due out in March 2024. It collects Shadows of the Empire, along with other Star Wars comics published by Dark Horse. Watch the video at the 1 hour, 34-minute mark.

Star Wars (Vol. 3) #34 Set for a 2nd Printing that's due out June 14. The difference? The kyber crystal is red, whereas the first printing was green.

Seven Star Wars comics are out today, with five from Marvel and two from Dark Horse. It's atypical to have so many release on a single day but, hey, it's not a bad problem to have. The long-delayed The High Republic Adventures -- Quest of the Jedi from Dark Horse Comics is available and, to borrow a steady cliche, it was was worth the wait. The creative team has created a lavishly illustrated, tightly written one-shot comic set during The High Republic era that features Jedi, the light and dark sides and adds to that era's steadily expanding lore.

In Marvel's Darth Vader: Black, White & Red #1 (of 4), the publisher's penchant for black & white comics finds firm footing in the galaxy far, far away, with Vader the prime subject in three different tales (one of which will anchor all four issues. There is no sparseness in the visual medium, rather clean, precise lines that brim with detail. One tale, by Peach Momoko, will have you forever looking at TIE fighters in a different way.
