Eli (In a Galaxy Podcast) ,

A Powerful Beacon of what Rebellions are built on

Meg Dowell provides a space where the stories of Star Wars are used wholly for their original purpose: to provide hope. Having had the pleasure of talking with her, I can say that Meg is truly someone who practices what she preaches, which makes the whole experience better because you can feel what she’s saying, and not a single word feels fake or exaggerated.

I’ll always be a big fan, Meg.

A tiny spark of hope in the void

There are times where creative projects sync up perfectly with the moment, whether they stand with the prevailing sentiment or in defiance of it. Starbird Dawn is firmly the latter.

In a time of multiple global crises, where existence seems about as bleak as could be (even occasionally in the fandom for Star Wars itself), this show asks us to consider the silver linings *and* the cloud. It asks us to consider both faces of the coin. It asks us why we shouldn’t expect the Force to balance itself: light for dark, hope for hopelessness.

I cannot recommend this show highly enough as essential nerd meditation practice in this current climate, and it is a small flicker of light for me every time it pops up in my queue.
