It means recognizing when we’re struggling, offering kindness to ourselves and acknowledging those same struggles in other people. Compassion can transform the way we think about the world, giving us hope that even small actions can have a positive impact on our lives and the lives of others. 
While difficulties come along with life, reminding yourself of how strong you have been in the past and that you have the capacity to make it through.  Embrace the hardships you encounter, for overcoming these will bring about new strength and more compassion.
