Every week, comedian Sierra Katow will chat with a fascinating guest about how they’ve managed to survive in this world (so far) all while keeping an upbeat outlook on life. Topics can range from the long-term philosophical to the short-term practical. Was this the career or the lifestyle they always planned on pursuing? What’s their go-to broke recipe? What did they wish they knew earlier? What was the worst advice they were ever given? The best? And most importantly, in tougher times, how do they keep smiling? Ultimately No One Cares About You w/ Cheyenne Perez (The Sex Lives of College Girls)

Ultimately No One Cares About You w/ Cheyenne Perez (The Sex Lives of College Girls)

Cheyenne chats with Sierra about their friendship birthed deep in the pandemic amid Covid tests and isolation while playing friends and co-bullies in HBOMax's The Sex Lives of College Girls. They commiserate over the shame spirals of working in an ego-driven profession that rotates around their stupid faces. Cheyenne shares her journey with an intuitive eating therapist, and Sierra talks about her relentless milk-chugging as a child. We ultimately conclude that no one cares about you (in the way you might be worried they do) and that Slim Jims are to be f--cked up the butt (not in the vagina, thankyouverymuch). Cheyenne recommends bullet journaling, the teachings of Ram Dass, and to go outside of yourself for fulfillment. Also, at the top, Sierra shares about her bout with Covid of the Omicron variety (fun fact: she was sick with Covid while recording this interview!) as well as her bout with food poisoning while at Disneyland and on Splash Mountain.

The Very First Negatime w/ Priska (Two Horny Goats)

The Very First Negatime w/ Priska (Two Horny Goats)

Priscilla Liang (aka Priska) chats with Sierra about how she crafts her incredible podcast Two Horny Goats, contrasts her experience with a life coach to Sierra's experience with a therapist, how the "individual genius" is a new concept (it used to be a bunch of people getting their ideas from divine spirits, duh!), and how her approach to her music has changed as she's matured (like no more Adele at Karaoke?! *gasp*). AND in a shocking reveal, Stay Podsitive has a brand new show segment: NEGATIME! This is when the guest gets to go off about something and get all negative, and Priscilla inaugurates this brilliantly talking negatively about when youtube stars use their kids for clout and the general triggers of exploited kids on social media. But then again, Sierra follows some cute babies and doesn't want the content to stop. WHAT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO?! Priscilla ends on the excellent advice (especially for you people-pleasers out there) to try and ground yourself before entering a room by asking yourself - Who am I? Where am I? How do I feel?

Big guest SteeBee WeeBee chats with Sierra about his high school wrestling career, choking in his senior year, touring with David Choe and Mangchi in a Motley Crue/BTS level tour bus, his live podcast performances with Jeremiah Watkins for Scissor Bros, and the scars of bombing onstage at the ImprovLab. Also, Sierra is on Cameo now if you’re into that kind of thing - https://v.cameo.com/iYYfeG6E9mb. It’s an awesome service but she’s also ashamed about it!

Mixed Identity + Self Expression w/ Joe Hernandez-Kolski (Gilmore Girls)

Joe chats with Sierra about poetry vs. stand-up comedy, dashed last names, feeling like you don't live up to your identity, supportive moms, and how you sometimes just need to get out there and express yourself! Joe recommends the 10% app (for meditation) and the book Buddhist Boot Camp. He runs Downbeat 720, an open mic for teenagers to find their voice (now on Zoom). Check out his work, especially his video about getting emotional on Soul Pancake's YouTube channel. Happy New Year!
