Ken Leishman, born in 1931 in a farming community west of Winnipeg, grew up amid the hardships of the Great Depression, which devastated his family. Turning to crime as a young man, Ken achieved folk hero status by pulling off one of the largest gold heists in Canadian history. Despite his criminal exploits, he managed to maintain a façade of respectability, even becoming a prominent member of his community and a pilot. Ken's life ended mysteriously in 1979 when his plane disappeared during a medivac mission, leaving behind a legacy of audacious crimes and unanswered questions.
