    How TVA Changed the South

    How TVA Changed the South

In the 1930s, with the country reeling from the Great Depression, President Roosevelt created his “New Deal” to help America recover. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) was founded to help the hard-hit Tennessee Valley, where it was tasked with improving the quality of life in the region. We were literally under water!

So today we are going to dive in and discuss "How did the TVA change the south?"

How a Dinner Party Can Save Your Life

Psychologist Jerome Burt, PhD, believes much of the upheaval we're dealing with in our country is because we're disconnected—from ourselves and one another. His prescription? Getting together to break bread. In fact, he thinks if you do it right, a dinner party won’t just save you from huge therapy bills, it can save your life

Sit back and enjoy

I have enjoyed listening to LB and Lainie’s podcast. Each week, so many memories from childhood come flooding back to me; they remind me of many sweet times and good memories. Their genuine voices let you know they enjoy their time together. Perfect length of time too. Thanks Ladies

Love the Steel Magnolias!

Hey y’all! I love this podcast!! I love the southern sister banter of Laura Beth and Lainie. So sweet. So genuine. The topics hit a wide range, but the North Star is always something southern at the heart. For those of us who love much about southern culture, this podcast will “make ya feel right at home here!” Some of my favorite episodes have been “Linens”, “Ambrosia & Jello Salads”, the episodes with Glenda Sutton, “Southern Interiors” and “Southern Antiques”. The Steel Magnolias Podcast is akin to what Dolly Parton says — “ it’s a diamond in a rhinestone world.” 5🌟
