Dr. Devin Swiner, Analytical Chemist & Senior Scientist
Dr. Devin Swiner is an amazing scientist and scicommer! After finishing her PhD this spring, she began as a senior scientist at Merck this summer. Dr. Devin teaches us about grad school, dissertating, and going into industry in this episode. (My favorite part: when she talks about your dissertation being for you and finding new research interests). Dr. Swiner has also done a lot of work in science communication and helped found both #BlackInChem & @MacScientists. Listen and follow her!

On today's episode, Kristen Reynolds and talk about her full circle journey in STEM, the importance of advocating for yourself, and not being afraid of leaving a program that's not serving you or treating you well. I hope you enjoy! BTW: we do discuss police violence from minute 16 -17. We do not go into detail and I think it provides valuable context, but I want to provide this content warning.
