TRACE - Vietnamese Coffee and Pate

TRACE is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles California. Her debut EP “LOW” was released in August 2016 and since then she has collected over 20 million streams on spotify. The daughter of a Vietnamese music star, TRACE spent her childhood watching her mother on stages around the world. But it was only a few years ago that TRACE gave up a promising career in editorial work to pursue her own dreams of writing and recording music. Tracking her earliest songs in the bathroom of her small east-LA apartment, she has developed a sound that is resonating with an audience to the tune of well over a million streams every month. Having discovered her music ourselves through a spotify playlist, we were thrilled when she agreed to join us for breakfast and an interview about the foods that have shaped her life.

I'm now hungry!

Tuned in to the new one with Mat Kearney! Enjoyed hearing you and Mat rock the Ryman last night! He is pretty much my favorite artist, so found it very interesting. I live in Nashville and agree the City House is pretty awesome. Love the memories that food can bring just like music does.

My only feedback would be let the audience hear you ask the questions and interact more with the guest.

I'm hooked

I love this podcast and the whole concept. It makes me want to record my friends talking about these themes. Please make more.

Who knew?

What an interesting concept podcast. I listened to Matt Wertz b/c my mom made that recipe (only w/ sliced carrots too-to make it healthy? Ha!). Looking forward to hearing others talk about fave food and it's meaningful connection to their life. Who knew? The monologue is a cool idea. So is the idea of how simple questions can lead to deeper convo. Thanks for introducing us to food and family genealogy! I'm telling others about Stemma.
