Still Grieving: Still Going | Guests - Jessica and Elizabeth of The Grieving Sisters Podcast
In 2003 I lost my dad to cancer. On that same day, I miscarried a pregnancy that resulted from an assault. I was barely 18. Fifteen years later I would lose an ex to a horrific accident and not long after a friend to addiction. With every loss, the grief got more complicated, and I got more numb.
I sat down with Jessica and Elizabeth of The Grieving Sisters podcast — both navigating sibling loss, both doing the honest work of figuring out how to carry it. We got into the anger that doesn't look like grief, the bereavement policies that weren't built for real life, surviving the first holidays, and why the funny stories matter just as much as the hard ones. I shared some of my own story too, because real talk requires showing up fully.
