Politics

Love the show. However, I wish they would keep their opinions on politics out of it. It’s often times no relevant to the show and only works to alienate half of the country. For as much intelligence that is displayed on the show they fail to realize or be able to accept that other people can and do have different perspectives.

Passion

I just love the passion that the guys and guests have for their work. I am not a maker but it’s so fun to listen to people who love their craft and appreciate the work of others.

Good but not great

This is an interesting podcast for people into technology, maker spaces, the ins-and-outs of the movie industry, props, special effects, and workshops. Adam is an unbelievable trove of knowledge, and they cover a wide range of topics. They’re all intelligent people with interesting lives.

Where this podcast falls short is production value, presentation, and relatability. After years of making this podcast they still cannot figure out how to get their mic levels sorted out, or remember to speak into the mic at times. One person sounds like the microphone is halfway down their throat and the next person sounds like they’re across the room from their mic. Norm, the host, is unpolished. It seems he’s a techie first and his hosting is clunky and hard to follow at times. And finally relatability - these are wealthy people who run in a niche group - I think they forget that sometimes.
