Best Irish/Celtic Mythology Podcast Ever!

I majored in Irish Lit in college and twenty years later this makes my nerdy story-loving heart happy. Along with Blúiríní Béaloidis it’s my favorite. Love the stories and the hosts.

I’m hooked.

This podcast is a perfect blend of entertainment and scholarship. Chris and Isolde are brilliant, and present this subject in a way that is well considered and well educated without stripping it of the fun and wonder that really are at the heart of mythology.

Groundbreaking (Archaeology Pun Intended)

When I first started the podcast, I wasn’t quite sure what to think, but a few episodes in I became hooked and I have learned so much ever since. What Chris and Isolde do in this podcast is amazing. They bring deep, insightful, highly academic scholarship into Irish Mythology in a way that anyone can grasp. Chris’s storytelling and Isolde’s expertise and insights make for a potent duo, and the conversational style of the podcast makes is very approachable and fun to listen to. Isolde’s new translations of old Irish poetry and the analysis following is new scholarship in the making, which is extremely exciting. Easily my favorite podcast to date.
