Strong Dads - Do You Want A Rock Solid Family? Episode 142 STRONG DADS! Doing Real Life

    • Kids & Family

How's your family doing?  That sounds like such a random question that  could provoke a host of responses, but go ahead and give it some thought.  How is your family doing?  Do you believe you are part of a strong and healthy family that is adding to not just your home environment, but to our society in general?  One of the things that we often hear from people camping in the great outdoors is the phrase, "leave it better than you found it."  Does your family seek to honor such a practice to society at large?

This is such a powerful concept of personal responsibility that leads to a betterment of everyone.  The idea that whatever I do, I acknowledge how it will impact others.  And, if it does so in a negative manner, I own it and seek to correct it.  This is of the highest levels of personal responsibility.  For this reason, this is a challenge that us Strong Dads need to consider.  It doesn't mean that we must fully be responsible for the wellbeing of all people, but we can start by teaching the responsibility for those closest to us. We can teach our children that they are part of a much bigger and lasting purpose.  One that doesn't just move the needle for today, but has the potential to move the needle to the positive or negative for generations to come.

During the show, Kyle and Hutch discuss basic concepts that every parent can do to give their children and the children of tomorrow a better place to live.  This is a gift that was given to us as well as a gift that we have the responsibility to give to the next generation.  Never underestimate what you are leaving your children.  Can you say you are going to leave this world a better place than you found it?
