You Probably Don't Need to Stop These Medications When Breastfeeding

You Probably Don't Need to Stop These Medications When Breastfeeding

In this episode I'm covering some common concerns regarding medications and breastfeeding. You have probably heard somewhere along your breastfeeding journey not to take a specific medication, to avoid having certain procedures, or to pump and dump after seeing your dentist. BUT is that true??? Are pharmaceutical medications actually harmful while breastfeeding?

To help me cover this topic I have invited Leslie Southard from The Lactation Pharmacist onto the show. Leslie is a community pharmacist turned lactation activist. In addition to being a pharmacist she is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), and helps individuals and health care professionals with medication use during pregnancy and lactation.
