One of my favorite podcasts
I loved this podcast! The hosts always had some really great discussions about fall out boy through both the good and the problematic. The guest episodes are entertaining too! I’ll miss this podcast a lot, and I know I’m gonna end up relistening to some of the episodes! If you’re a fan of fall out boy I recommend it!

Good for the most part
Overall I enjoy this podcast. The hosts are funny and give me a new perspective on the lyrics I’ve been (semi) hearing for years. They can be overly cynical sometimes but it’s manageable. One thing that kinda rubs me the wrong way is the way they approach the racial aspects of the lyrics and music videos though. As a Black woman, it kinda gives me white-allys-trying-too-hard-to-be-woke vibes. I think it’s a little irresponsible to point out some of racial “tropes” without mentioning that the director of the videos they had gripes about was a Black man that’s very immersed and connected to Black culture, who’s inclusion of Black actors/dancers in the videos probably weren’t instances of tokenization had it might been with a white director. Or how the lyricist Pete Wentz is a biracial Black men, and the “lazy” commentary of police brutality they accused him of was probably from a more personal place, expecting a Black man to write about police murder in detail to a white audience seems a bit entitled to me idk. This is probably too long winded but these are the issues I found made some of the episodes really hard to listen to.
