    • Entrepreneurship

Accumulating wealth can be challenging. The journey will not be easy and it will involve many life aspects. There’s you (health), your family (relationships), and your company (career) mixed together looking for the perfect balance. Although there’s no perfect recipe to have all in one plate according to our guest, Rocco, having three cords in balance needs a clear grasp of values to have that mindset.
Check out this episode as Rocco shares his views and advice on accumulating wealth, investment ventures, and the difference between first and second-generation millionaires.
Who is Rocco Carriero?
Rocco is an established private wealth advisor. For 35 years, he had been working with different clients and managing over 700 assets. His extensive experience working with different clients motivated him to write and publish his book “Three Cords: Approach to Life and Wealth Management”
He likes to work with people from different backgrounds. Rocco particularly enjoys working with self-made entrepreneurs and first-generation millionaires.
Rocco’s Biggest Wins
Rocco started to build his career early and pushes himself to learn and thrive in his chosen path. He mentioned that he still gets excited about taking on different challenges as it gives him the opportunity to outgrow previous beliefs and concepts.
According to Rocco, we need to carve our way to personal development in order to grow. There’s a certain fulfillment when you write your own success book rather than having someone else write it for you.
 Pull out Quotes:
"The mindset is, you can't do all three things at once (career, relationship, and health). The common misconception is that you could spend three plates at one thing, it has to be broken out into time blocks."

"What's your mindset, (it should) trickle down to your values... People's mindset comes as a result of understanding one's value. Your value comes first...after all their values are clear their mindsets are developed."
"It is the complete opposite, one group likes to talk about wealth accumulation, going out there and making things happen on their own (while) the next generation's conversation is about spending the resources - buying things and it's a totally different way of doing financial planning."
"Write a financial plan...(ask yourself) where do you want to go from...wealth is not accumulated one shot or one idea, it's systematic saving over time...
"There's nothing wrong with taking a shot, with someone who wants to speculate on their dollars right? Nothing wrong with doing that, but the core of the assets should be in high-quality businesses that have long-term tracking of revenue."
"One of my favorite things to do, I still get excited...what gets me excited because it's a ticket to an opportunity"

"You got to create a ticket on your own for your own development."
