The 80's and 90's were a strange, neon fever dream. Everything was juicy, stuffed with cheese and everyone skateboarded all. the. time. Did you roller blade? We did, too! Why did we do that?
Join us and our kids for an hour each week as we try to explain to them why our stuff is better than theirs and always will be: video games, snacks, television, movies...all of it.
And bring your kids along for the ride, too! You may even find yourself saying "back in my day" a lot.
...it's not so bad once you get used to it.
Did you know you can pretend to be senile and ride the bus for free?

Do They Still Sell Milk?
The dads grill Gabe on current-day lunchroom standards. What the heck are our kids eating these days, anyway? Is it better than the fruity sugar-splosions that were thrown into our brown bags in the 80’s and 90’s. Turns out, not really. Also, Gabe loves pretzels.
In this episode we play Real Snack or Total Crap; look at the brave souls who sacrificed it all to make lunch “-able”, and Gabe pitches us his idea for the cafeteria of the future.
“I Heard a Rumor…”
King Hippo can get up and Tyson's down to grab a bite if you are. We're talking schoolyard video game rumors, myths and urban legends...with some slide whistle thrown in for good measure.
It's 2020 and apparently people still make video game magazines. What's weird about this one? It's actually really good!
This American Sprite: “They Called Me Flash Man”
This week’s story: They Called Me Flashman; a look at one of the survivors of the robot wars.
Once imbued with the power to manipulate time itself, Flash Man’s life is very different today. Commander of Boomeroids and Bomb Birds...Flash Man, has traded his dominion for a Piggly Wiggly grocery counter in Tuscaloosa Alabama; the place is bustling on weekends.
