When the Manchester City fans had been starved of success for so long, the arrival of an exciting new manager with exciting new players lifted spirits. Following the takeover of the club by Thaksin Shinawatra in 2007, Sven Goran Eriksson was appointed boss - and a whirlwind summer saw a plethora of new signings. The manager masterminded a first Manchester Derby double in over three decades and enjoyed cult hero status at Eastlands. The Blue Moon Podcast's David Mooney caught up with him in 2011 to discuss the ins and outs of his single campaign in charge.
