    In this episode, we discuss the process of designing a university course in Global Health and Sustainable Development, together with Helena Frielingsdorf Lundqvist, a psychiatrist with a PhD in neurobiology who is also a resident in social medicine and the chair of the SLS committee of global health. Five years ago Helena and a small group of global health enthusiasts started lobbying for a course in Global Health and Sustainable Development to be offered to medical students at Linköping University in Sweden and it was launched earlier this year. The course is a collaborative elective course between Linköping and Moi University in Eldoret in Kenya.

    Interviewers were Lotta Velin and Hedda Ottesson, both junior doctors in Sweden.

    We continue the talks with Gabriel Wikström, national coordinator for the Sustainable Development Goals in Sweden, and Raman Preet, International Research Coordinator and Equal Opportunity Officer at the Department of Epidemiology and Global Health of Umeå University. Among many things, we discuss how fulfilling the agenda is like cooking dinner in a family, and how racism is one of the biggest obstacles on the way to a more sustainable world.

    In this episode we go Heart to Heart with Anders Nordström. Anders Nordström is Sweden’s ambassador for global health, one of the few in the world. However, with the Covid-19 pandemic creating a paradigm shift for global health, Anders was appointed the head of the secretariat of the Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response (IPPPR), which is chaired by Helen Clark and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. This episode was moderated by Anna-Theresia Ekman, junior doctor and PhD Student in Stockholm, and Lotta Velin, medical student in Lund and PhD student in Linköping.
