"The best goddamn communist podcast, period."
—Tom O'Brien, From Alpha to Omega
This is Swampside Chats. The podcast where communists shoot the shit about current events, history, political economy, and theory.
"You are free not only to invite us, but to go yourselves wherever you will, even into the Swamp. In fact, we think that the Swamp is your proper place, and we are prepared to render you every assistance to get there. Only let go of our hands, don’t clutch at us and don’t besmirch the grand word freedom, for we too are 'free' to go where we please, free to fight not only against the Swamp, but also against those who are turning towards the Swamp!"

Amazing
Been listening for a couple years now and am constantly impressed with the podcast! The best communist podcast easy!
Very knowledgeable Marxists...but sometimes too cynical and dogmatic
Overall, a good and interesting show. That said, I wish the host would learn to stop interrupting each other so much. Also, the audio quality is not great, though I don’t fault them for that of course as a small podcast.
My least favorite part of the show is the seemingly constant cynicism and nihilism of the hosts. As far as I can tell in the episodes I’ve listen to so far, they don’t seem to support any socialist group, party or state either current or historical. I am all for criticism, but I think the notion that all of these other socialist are wrong and we are the only ones who really understand the structures of our world is a tiresome and childish position. The host also swerve at times into Marxist dogmatism, which is to say they try to corroborate their argument based on what Marx wrote as though Marx’s writings were in fallible, a tendency which is both counterproductive and anti-Marxist.
Good
The more I listen the better it gets, i’ve gotten hooked.
