I love it!

I’m 100% here for this soft core true crime podcast. Full stop.

Odd But Delightful

I spent most of the first episode wondering if this guy had a sense of humor. Then there was the deadpan sentence about Bigfoot hunting and the “not a hot dog guy”, and I absolutely fell in love with his oddball storytelling. Dry humor is my thing, and so is social commentary, so I loved this immediately. You get used to the deadpan tone after a couple episodes - or at least, I did.

I was very impressed that he tackled an issue like birth control in what I believe was only the fifth episode, and did it with what I perceived to be as little political bias as possible (i.e., accurately portraying how male politicians on both sides of the aisle were pretty much ignoring women equally and deserved to be called out for this by the women). I also grew up in upstate New York, and the Love Canal story is fairly well known among my parents’ generation; I thought it was beautifully addressed on the show. I’m only on the sixth episode, so I might write more reviews as the show progresses, but I feel pretty positive about it so far.

(Also, as for the comments - I automatically disregard the opinion of anyone who uses “Sad.” to express disapproval. You’re really THAT lazy. You can’t even be bothered to write up a proper rant and use correct spelling and grammar in it. You use three letters, maybe a period if we’re lucky. That is the most boring, pathetic attempt at outrage I have ever seen. Write an essay! Write an article! That’s partially what essays and articles are for! Make Alexander Hamilton proud!)

Where is the Clinton Foundation ‘investigation’?

This concerned citizen is only concerned with the actions of some politicians and rich people (all while asking people to be patreon “subscribers”). I am sure the ‘citizen’ donates all but what he needs to live an austere existence - right? How can you possibly do a podcast on a Washington DC Madame and NOT mention Bill Clinton? The concerned citizen is an irresponsible hypocrite.
