If I could give it more stars, I would

Not 100% sure if I’ve already left a review here, but these guys do top-quality Matthew Mercer-level campaigns with amazing story arcs and players who create and play their characters with as much skill as any of the bigger podcasts, and a GM with a level of creativity and on-the-fly character development like I’ve never seen (even if his voices all sound the same sometimes lol love you mean it Budd). If you’re looking for an actual-play podcast to devour, this is the one!

Love it

I am so proud of this crew, they have worked so hard to make this a special podcast. A truly delightful actual play podcast, dark and brooding at time, hilarious at times. Keep up the good work gang!

Dark and perfect (and hilarious)

I love this podcast and can’t wait for the new episode every week.

The world has a focused, captivatingly dark, realism that most fantasy settings forego in favor of conventional fantasy plot devices.

Nothing in this world seems like an afterthought. NPCs have dimension and complexity - even their names are thoughtful and fit the world’s sociocultural structure. It also doesn’t hurt that the GM is a talented, creative, and enthusiastic voice actor (and very rarely mixes up voices!). I leave each time with a feeling that I’ve just scratched the surface of a much deeper mystery.

The all-human PC cast is diverse, and the 1:1 male:female ratio leads to some great dialog and a lends a very balanced feel to the story in general. The personalities are both complementary and hilarious. Rich backstory and well-paced character development uncovers the past and lends insight into the future of each character and NPC with each new installment, playing perfectly into my podcast addiction.

Doesn’t feel overproduced in the least. Meta-game minutiae are left untouched for the most part. Relatively loose cuts and long run time keep the feel intimate, honest, like I have a seat at the table.

Its a funny thing to feel like you have friends who‘ve never met you. It's impossible to adequately reciprocate in way deemed socially acceptable – much less welcome – when you consider it’s taken several hundred hours of fanatical listening to get there. So I have only to be grateful to this crew for sharing their story every week, and the occasional Ko-fi. You all deserve legit fame or at least like a thousand really good ratings.

Loving the new campaign, can’t wait to hear more voices (awaiting Rene’s half-buttoned descendant who is now *plot twist* an actual vampire).
