The taco. We’ve all had one. It doesn’t matter where you live. Race, religion, diet. In the last few years, it’s become the new burger. In its simplest form in America, it’s meat, onions & cilantro in a tortilla. Host Rob Gokee, a Los Angeles native & author of the book Tacocity, takes you on a journey of not only taco discovery, but the people who took a chance, and in some cases risked everything to bring their own recipes & dreams to life. Every episode is a different story, a unique look into taquerias across the country!

Loving It ... From PHX
I had this podcast in the queue for a while, and am now devouring episodes like carne asada tacos. There's an almost NPR-like quality to this, which is refreshing while you're sitting in Phoenix traffic, which I know, doesn't even compare to the LA variety, but still... I now have my taco hitlist for my next trip to CA thanks to Rob & Tacocity. Nice work!
Disclaimer: Will Make You Crave Tacos
Tacocity is much more than a taco podcast . It is a narrative bout the people behind the tacos . If you are a taco lover this is the podcast for you . It sheds more light on the stories behind those tasty tortillas , that fiery salsas you go home and dream bout . This is a podcast for those who not only love the taco but are appreciative of the hands that make them .
Taco-bout Wonderful!
As a self-proclaimed taco romantic, I have my own personal affection for tacos and the background stories that make them taste all that much more 'sabroso'. One night, out of complete wonderment, I wanted to see if I could find something out there that I could listent to, instead of read, pertaining to tacos. I thought it was silly of me to even think to search for a podcast about tacos. But long and behold, there was TacoCity. Serendipty really.
I was overwhelmed with anxiousness to listen to the podcast, as I didn't know what to expect. But all it took was one listen. Tacocity is a meaningful story-teller of truths, of hard-working people and loyalty to the most complex and simplistic world, of tacos. Imagine a taco where someone made it with passion. Imagine the ingredients prepared with soul. A dash of heart, a dash of loyalty, a dash of respect. That taco sounds amazing, right? That's what Tacocity is. It honors the taco no differently than many hostorical items in the world.
Every episode is a journey. Every episode tells a story. And every episode will make you hungry! Stay and listen for the love, eat because you love, Tacos!
