"Take away the Right to say F*ck, you take away the Right to say F*ck the Government"- The Artist Mr. Fish The Arts of Travel

    • Places & Travel

The title of this episode is a quote from Lenny Bruce, who was an inspiration for our guest today: the award-winning artist Dwayne Booth aka: Mr. Fish !

Our chat is a brutally honest one about the sickness of power and our current political age. There are no sacred cows, and I consider it a must for anyone interested in the power of Satire. Mr. Fish truly is brilliant

Mr. Fish, who has drawn for everyone from Harpers to The L.A. Times has long been considered one of America's most rebellious and "Dangerous" artists. The cartoons we share from Mr. Fish will be controversial and likely anger some people. But I think art should be dangerous, it should make us feel something other than satisfaction with the status quo.

If your'e interested in watching his art while listening to the podcast, please check out our movie of the interview here on Asia Art Tours Youtube --->https://youtu.be/WYYAveNNd1Q

For more information on Fish's work we highly recommend this trailer for "Cartooning from the Deep End" a full-length movie recently produced about his life, his philosophy of art and why so many consider him to be "dangerous".
