Tale of the Manticore is a hybrid between a dark fantasy audio drama and a solo D&D RPG. The dice make all the important decisions and, as a writer, my job is to interpret them and tell their story. Part fiction, part game, it’s the story where ”Chaos rolls.”

This show is a awesome.
I’ve never been into d&d. Never even considered it. Someone recommended this podcast to me on Reddit and I put it off thinking it wouldn’t be my thing. Out of boredom at work while my waiting for new episodes from my normal podcasts I decided to check it out. I was instantly hooked. Binged everything and just got caught up tonight. Even considering getting into d&d if I can find a group with an open spot, willing to teach. The way the author describes everything and the was the story plays it really makes you feel a connection with the world and characters. I felt so connected with the characters from season one I actually had a hard “getting to know” the characters in season two. I should have taken a break but it was too addictive. To the author, Please keep this going. I’m far too hooked to turn back lol.
Tale of the Manticore
Great pod. Taking back to the 80s. Happened on it from The Grognard files. Hope you keep at it.
A perfect gem that can get lost in the mix of its neighbors.
Also, thanks to The Iron Realm for inspiring Jon to do this. Gonna check that out next now that I’m all caught up.
