What is a Marketing Tree?
I'm excited to have you come along and join me as we explore what I like to call a marketing day and how you can use that marketing tree to empower your people, benefit your business and attract better leads to your business into your clients. So that's what we're going to be talking about today. So we are delving into the world of what I like to call marketing trees today, and I like to look at marketing as a marketing tree rather than a final for a number of reasons. I think of funnels, you know, and I can't get the visual out of my head about pushing people down and forcing them down through something. And I would much rather empower our people. And I'll explain to you about why we like that within trees within that process.
Tips on Getting Help When You Need It
Trust me, you're gonna need help, and the answers might not be on Google. This is why joining communities and groups is so important. It's a circle of support where you can give and get help.
But I'm sure you've seen posts asking for help that maybe frustrated you because they didn't post enough information so you can immediately respond. Many groups now actually have guidelines on asking questions so that people don't waste time trying to interview the original poster about the problem.
It's your job to be very clear about what you need. And then trust me, the answers will come. People like to help!
Listen to this talk for more tips on getting the best responses for your questions.
How to Keep Marketing When You're Busy
How do you continue marketing when you're already fully booked? After all, you don't stop needing more clients, you need to keep marketing so you can keep growing.
But how do you do that when you're busy?
This is especially true for service-based businesses. There's only so much time you can use each day and that time goes to your clients.
But take this podcast as a quick example: it's less than five minutes long. You can do the same. You can sit down when you have a free hour or half hour, and you can produce several videos you can repurpose into podcasts or blogs that can work for you as marketing content.
Content like this gives your audience a taste of what it's like to work with you. And whether you create videos, talks or courses, they're just here waiting to be read, listened to, or watched. They no longer take your time!
Marketing, Advertising and PR: When and How to Use Them
Marketing, advertising and PR are three of the most effective tools to help your business really take off. All of them get you in front of your target audiences.
Each of them have key differences in the type of content, where that content goes life, and the role of that content in connecting with your audience or building your reputation. And like all tools, there's a proper way to deploy them that makes them efficient in achieving your goals.
How To Market Your Book
You've written a book. Congratulations! That's quite an achievement. But now what? This is perhaps the top question clients ask me. It's often what makes them join Business Business Business and Media Connections.
Right off the bat let me tell you exactly what's next: Marketing.
Your work on your book is 20% putting it together and 80% promoting it.
You've probably come into this already knowing that! So now it's just about doing the right things in marketing your book.
The power of Bite sized content and snackable messaging
Think of bite-sized content as snackable content, something your audience can interact with quickly and still come away with something truly valuable.
I love bite-sized content! Sometimes you have a free minute and you get to use it well when your favourite influencers deliver a bite-sized content. That's the same for your audience. Actually, they might sit down for an entire hour and consume and engage with hundreds of bite-sized content in that hour.
Get in on that action! Produce bite-sized content: images and micro videos of tips and advice your audience will appreciate! And the best thing about this is your bite-sized content already exists in content you already have. Just repurpose!
Some bite sized content ideas you can share are:
•Your top tips in short bursts (videos, memes, audio)
•Product how to's and walkthroughs
•Highlight blog or podcast episodes
•As a way to promote larger campaigns, giveaways, online events, etc
•extra light bites to your audience, such as GIFs, meme
