Debating the Undebatable
“Bad people win when good people do nothing,” focusing on those who act in bad faith is akin to doing nothing. People like Tucker Carlson are professional gaslighters, they pretend to ask questions or to pose challenges to legitimate debate, but regularly what they are peddling is far from being legitimate attempts at honest discourse. I would go so far as to say their ham-handed tactics are to do just the opposite, keep our eyes off the prize. Keep us pulling out our hair responding to whatever nonsense they are throwing at the wall rather than making better use of our time engaging the actual systems and stakeholders that will actually bring about the racial justice we seek.
