Triumphant Return

So glad Les and Hugh are back. There’s a lot going on in the world of wrestling “journalism” lately and the timing is impeccable. Keep at it.

Bad

Terrible. It's not your job to criticize other sites/podcasts and their opinions. I'm sure if you could call this show TalkingShit, you would've, because that's all this is.

A tale of two shows

I think Les is a genuinely relatable host with an interesting take and the midweek round table is a standout show. The main show on the other hand is a chore. I continue to listen for Les' take on the stories of the week but he is constantly thrown off topic and interrupted by a co-host that seems to be in a perpetual state of inebriation. As well as slurred speech the co-host finds it necessary to remind the audience that he does not watch WWE. That would be fine if WWE wasn't 75-95% of all the show's topics. If this wasn't enough they're usually joined by an adult woman who speaks as if she's still a teenager. Don't get me wrong she is very intelligent but feels the need to use unnecessary abbreviations and "cool" buzz phrases as much as possible. Inevitably the show will fall into a chaotic mess of them talking over each other and giggling fits. All of this makes the prime show a tough listen. Now I know that I'm an absolute anomaly but I feel they are better suited as guests rather than co-hosts. They do all seem to be lovely people who would be great company so none of this is personal. I'm just a listener with criticism. It's obvious that they are close friends so I know this dynamic will remain. I'll just continue to skip through the sloppy bits and listening to the mid-week show when it's available.
