Anthony Fenech

Anthony has an incredible wealth of knowledge and stats he brings to each episode. He has tried to find his own path after the loss of Drew Sharp, but is doing a good job of summing up each series of games in spite of a loosing Tigers ball club. I enjoy the episodes as a guy from Idaho can't find anything on the Tigers except from across the country. In spite of Anthony not being a Tiger fan any longer, I enjoy the cold hard facts

Love the Gallaraga piece

Creating this podcast from that story is so awesome. I love that you did this Anthony. You do good work with podcast. Only wish you would do it more

Very Poorly Produced Podcast

I gave TWO stars, only because some of the information Anthony offers is helpful.

While some if the information Anthony offers is good, the presentation is entirely unacceptable and leaves the listener with the impression that the host isn’t very interested in the podcast himself.

Regularly, early in the show, Anthony questions which episode of the podcast he is recording. He doesn’t know. Recordings are very rudimentary and phone interviews are crudely produced. The difference between this and other sports podcasts - even about the Tigers - is noticeable.

And, after listening to many of 2019’s shows, I was left with the impression that Anthony believed himself to be superior to his audience and ridiculously offers his basement Tigers trash (like old media guides or promotional giveaways from years past) as prizes to listeners who manage to listen to the end of the show.

It’s just a very poorly done podcast, and makes me wonder why a team with such excellent heritage as the Detroit Tigers would allow this to be their signature podcast. We can certainly do better!

2018’s series with Nick Castellanos and Shane Green was magnificent! Start with something like that. Or check out Dan Hasty’s well-done podcast about future Tigers now playing in the minors.
