Belgians love their cars. The automobile remains the most popular means of transport, accounting for 62 percent of our trips. But awareness for alternative transport modes is growing, with commuters agreeing that travel should be more sustainable, more flexible, and more efficient.

And these jams are a costly annoyance, mounting up to 1% of Belgium’s GDP every year. However, digitisation offers us the opportunity to turn this around. In this podcast, Piet Vandendriessche will discuss the current mobility landscape in Belgium with Mathieu de Lophem, co-founder of Skipr, an app allows you to plan, book and pay for your trip with public and shared transport. As a key component of Deloitte’s sustainability ambitions to become CO2 neutral by 2030, our organisation also relies on Skipr since last year.
