Team Favourites: How to Work Better Together We Are Power Podcast

    • Careers

As part of our summer look-back, here at Northern Power Women we're each choosing the one episode that has had the most impact on us from the last year of the podcast.  This week Simone Roche, CEO and Founder of Northern Power Women has chosen this episode featuring Cherylee Houston MBE.
My biggest takeaway from Cherylee is not to build a ramp because I'm in a wheelchair but other people will benefit from it. This manifests wider when we make decisions on how we can make small adjustments to support wider accessibility."Simone Roche MBE chats to  Cherylee Houston MBE, Coronation Street star and co-founder of TripleC, a collective which increases access to the arts for disabled performers. Together they discuss how we can start conversations around disability and access, and the power the media has in changing perceptions.
Listen to Learn
How to work with, not against people when it comes to education and change  Why everyone benefits from greater accessibility   How to be an intentional ally to disabled peopleWhy disability should be on your agenda from the get-go Find us on Twitter,  LinkedIn and  Instagram"
You can now nominate for the 2025 Northern Power Women Awards to be in with a chance of celebrating with changemakers, trailblazers and advocates on 6th March 2025! Nominate now at wearepower.net
