A great time all around.
I stumbled upon this podcast while excited after watching power rangers. It’s caused me to open my mind to many podcast I never would have looked at before.
Come for the PR, stay for the people
I sought out this podcast in 2017 looking for someone to review the Lionsgate movie. I stuck around for their recaps of a show that was nearly 25 years old at that point and got to know the frequent and not-so-frequent hosts. It is a true joy to see this podcast pop up in my feed every Friday and hear these people talk about this ridiculous and sometimes awesome TV show. One of the happy surprises of the podcast, though, is that about half of the tier-2 hosts and common guests are trans. I only know one openly trans person in my life so this has been one of the most important channels to better understand that community. Probably my only criticism of this show, which does not harm its five-star rating, is that only the main host Zack actually likes Power Rangers so they spend as much time as possible talking about other topics and the listener questions are rarely ever relevant to the episode or series.But again, that has become less important with time. Worth a listen if you’ve got just a little bit of nerd in you and like “spending time” with good people.
An absolute joy
While I did not grow up on the original Power Rangers, the franchise was a huge part of my childhood. This podcast is a great round table of some Power Ranger-loving friends making goofs and causing laughs. Plus the trivia is super interesting! Would definitely recommend, especially for the wildly entertaining crack-pot theories.
