Dan Harris is a fidgety, skeptical journalist who had a panic attack on live national television, which led him to try something he otherwise never would have considered: meditation. He went on to write the bestselling book, 10% Happier. On this show, Dan talks with eminent meditation teachers, top scientists, and even the odd celebrity. Guests include everyone from His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Brené Brown to Karamo from Queer Eye. On some episodes, Dan ventures into the deep end of the pool, covering subjects such as enlightenment and psychedelics. On other episodes, it’s science-based techniques for issues such as anxiety, productivity, and relationships. Dan's approach is seemingly modest, but secretly radical: happiness is a skill you can train, just like working your bicep in the gym. Your progress may be incremental at first, but like any good investment, it compounds over time.

Dan, thank you.
I’ve been listening to this show on and off for the past three years. Normally I like to play it when I’m getting ready for the morning and it sets the tone nicely for my day. The episodes usually include actionable tips to increase mindfulness or to re-evaluate how we carry ourselves through the world. My favorite episodes include interviews with Jack Kornfield, Adam Grant, Jocelyne K Glei, and Mark Hyman. Dan is my favorite interviewer I’ve come across. He is so endearing and having listened to him for so long he truly feels like a friend. I listened to the episode with Jocelyn from 2019 today and I was struck with how much Dan has grown in the past two years (I hope that doesn’t come off as condescending, it’s not meant to be). I think Dan reads these reviews so I just want to say—thank you. You work helped pull me out of a seriously deep depression and you’ve provided such a wealth of information that has made help make me a kinder, more patient person with myself and everyone around me. Thanks to you I’ve healed my relationship with my mom and I also don’t cry everyday anymore. I love you in a very real, very deep, very platonic way.
The one podcast I’m always looking forward to
I cannot begin to tell you how eager I’am every week to a new episode of this podcast. Dan is always on point with the questions he asks, he’s very knowledgeable and always in tune with the guests, he’s always very well versed and articulate.
Listening to TPH on my way to work in the mornings is a breeze. I always take notes of my learning experience with the podcast and send it to my friends. I totally love this podcast. Keep up the good work
Ten percent happier is my number one go-to app for excellent content and meditations -several times a day frequently. Thank you!
