The Tenkara Cast with Daniel Galhardo is a podcast on tenkara, the Japanese method of fly-fishing that uses only a rod, line and fly. The Tenkara Cast episodes are about sharing the stories, techniques and philosophy and other information that will inspire you to keep your fly-fishing simple and explore the outdoors. The recording of the Tenkara Cast is supported by Tenkara USA, the first company to introduce tenkara outside of Japan.
Sharing the tenkara story™
Conversations: Manzanar Fishing Club
Many of us understand the sense of freedom provided by fishing. But, many of us will never understand how powerful that sense of freedom was for some. Daniel talks to filmmaker Cory Shiozaki about the dark chapter of concentration camps in the US, which incarcerated over a hundred thousand American citizens. One such concentration camp was Manzanar, in the Eastern Sierra. At Manzanar, some internees risked their lives to sneak out and go fishing, possibly tenkara, in the Eastern Sierra to get some respite, and a sense of freedom and dignity not allowed to them otherwise. Fishing always brings with it a glimmer of hope. But, it can also provide a sense of freedom, and dignity, as the story behind the Manzanar Fishing Club shows us.

Conversation with Jason Klass and more
This time Daniel talks to Jason Klass, the prolific tenkara blogger behind Tenkara Talk. They talk about the 10 years of tenkara, discuss the use of the term "tenkara masters", and more.
After their conversation, Daniel also speaks his mind about our support and solidarity for the Black Lives Matter movement. After all, our mission to improve our environment is only driven by the people who will enjoy it, and they must be alive and feel safe to enjoy the environment for which we work so hard for.

Daniel where are you at my man! Miss all the great interviews and conversations. Please come back soon
Pseudo righteous overreaction
I have to say that Aeselh’s comments about the interview with Jason Klass miss the point (whatever it was) and make way to much out of a conversation that reminds me of the kind of philosophical talks we used to have in the dorm when we scored some really bomb weed.
From An Amateur for 71 years
Daniel needs to focus on Tenkara techniques and strategies. He is a fantastic salesperson but very opinionated that distracts from his message of promoting his core expertise.
