TEXAS PODCAST MASSACRE is a weekly horror movie podcast where hosts Mitch, Nate and Lisa talk about what’s new in the horror world, have a weekly debate, and review one horror movie. Each week they invite a special guest who typically does not watch and/or enjoy horror films to jump in the conversation as their “unsuspecting victim”, providing reviews for both horror addicts and the horror averse!
198 Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem: PredaMorphs
This week's TPM is Mitch vs. Nate as we review Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem for Versus Month. We talk about the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, why Predators are better, and talk about sporting goods stores for entirely too long.
197 Freddy vs. Jason: Dokken to Goo Goo Dolls to Ill Nino
This week Versus Month continues as we review Freddy vs. Jason to see which slasher reigns supreme. TPM debate if Freddy is Jason's father or half-brother, gush over Ill Nino, and question Jason's fear of water.
196 Godzilla vs. King Kong: Pacific Grim
This week King Kong ain't got nothin' on TPM as we review the new release Godzilla vs. Kong on HBO Max. We pitch our own kaiju from myth/movies and pit them against each other, discuss the merits of the hollow earth, and show huge bias for Godzilla.
195 The Devil's Advocate: Keanu's Accent Coach
Hoo-ah! This week everyone is back to discuss the devil in the details for The Devil's Advocate. We debate how Lucifer would lead us astray, Keanu's southern accent, and Nate does his best Pacino impressions...multiple times.
194 The Call: Would You Like To Play An Insidious Game?
Due to potentially Leprechaun-related work shenanigans, this week's episode has Nate flying solo while reviewing The Call from 2020 (not the Netflix one)! He goes over Hell warehouses, obvious plot twists, and talks about his Blu-ray collection.
193 Leprechaun 3: This Is Basically Lion King
Top 'O the St. Patrick's Day from Texas Podcast Massacre! This week we review Leprechaun 3 where Lep goes to the Vegas hood and is up to no good. We debate the best coin wishes, discuss Irish prejudice, and spit our best dirty limericks.
Really solid and very funny. I love listening while I work and then taught and no-one knows why.. Especially enjoyed the Birdemic episode..I have a request for Incident In A Ghostland..
Team Old Grand-Dad 114, cause low proof's are for romantic comedy podcast.
Texas Podcast Massacre is fantastic. I learned about it through the DT & KC show and started listening after Kevin’s first appearance. Mitch and Nate’s repartee reminds me of growing up watching horror movies with my friends when I was in my teens and early 20’s. Just a couple of guys being goofballs. Lisa’s non horror fan (is she really an unsuspecting victim anymore) inclusion does bring a nice perspective to the show and I wish they they’d make her watch some more extreme horror movies. I do believe that they should do more Crown Apple or Old Grand-Dad shots during the recording and some commentary tracks.
My review request is “The Woman” directed by Lucky McKee and based on a book by Jack Ketchum. It would be awesome if Kevin Castle could be on this review, since years ago I started reading Jack Ketchum after Kevin talked about one of his books on DT & KC.
If this movie is to hard to find, my second request is “The Poughkeepsie Tapes”.
Good Mix of Horror and Comedy
I'm really happy I stumbled upon this podcast! I do catch myself laughing outloud quite often while listening. If Mitch and Nate had the same concept of a podcast without an unsuspecting victim, I would much rather listen to that. Being a horror fan, it can get annoying listening to someone bash old classics (The Omen, The Birds), and just not be excited about almost every movie in general. I get that's the point of this podcast but whatever it's my review :-)
